FTP client

Connect to biocomp.cnb.csic.es at port 8021

Identify yourself:

• Login: anonymous / Password: your e-mail address - if you have no authorization
• Login: guest / Password: guest's password - if you have been granted guest privileges (ask webmaster)

Go to the appropiate shared folder (see below):

• /pub for public files
• /Biocomp/NetworkDisk/Guest for private files

Web browser

Go to the file-sharing zone

Select public or private files (see below)

• Public files reside in a volatile and public folder, which means that the files are deleted periodically and everyone on the web can see them.
• Private files resided in a non-volatile folder with restricted access - only guests and members can see this files. Ask webmaster for privileges grant and file life.

Put the files

Web Download

Click on the file you want to download

Click on "View"

Save the file or open it inside the web browser

Web Upload

Select "File" in the list "Select type to add...", and press "Add" if neccessary.

Fill in the fields of the form:

• Id: the name the file will have on the web folder
• Title: the description that appears between parentheses
• File: the path to the file you want to upload. The best way to set this field is clicking on the "Browse" button

Click on the "Add" button
